Exercising with a friend or loved one can make it more fun, and increase your chances of sticking to your exercise plan. Exercising with a friend is a great way to keep you motivated. It's also a great way to meet new people. Exercise with someone around the same fitness level as you so you can spur each other on.






Be honest with yourself about where to start based on your fitness level and aim for one of those smaller, more realistic goals (which are worthy of their own celebration) first; meeting it will give you the confidence to set another (and another) while keeping that bigger goal. Having a fitness partner is a great way to keep you motivated. It's also a great way to meet new people out there.

You can exercise at your own speed and intensity. Instead of talking, you can focus on what you're doing.
